HI, I'M ALY SINGH

Conservator. Communicator. Change Maker.

I am a Conservator and Collections Management specialist with 6+ years of experience working with museum collections. I use my artifact handling, documentation and teamwork skills to help maintain historical collections for future generations. I have completed an MSc in Conservation Practice at Cardiff University and am currently working as a Collections Management Clerk at Library and Archives Canada.

In this portfolio I am proud to present a selection of my work for your perusal. Specializing in social history collections, I am also adept at working with archeological and agricultural collections, analytical equipment, and conservation grade lasers, and spent much of 2020-2022 doing hazard mitigation. I strongly believe in engagement via social media, and outside of the lab I can be found on twitter (@alysingh), tweeting about museums, heritage, diversity, and mental health, among other things.
